WHY HAIR TRANSPLANTATION?

Due to social and medical reasons hair transplantation has become the most requested and common aesthetic operation of the last few years. When done correctly by knowledgeable professionals, hair transplants procedures offer extremely good results; meeting even the highesjt standards set by our patients. We recommend this medical procedure to everyone who qualifies. We perform hair transplantation using the FUE method, with which the maximum grafts of 3500-4500 (meaning 8800-9000 hair strands) are transferred to the affected areas. The operation is completed in one day and lasts approx. 5 hours; next day there is the washing of your hair and you may from then on continue your normal lifestyle. The transplanted hair may fall out during first 3 months and new hair will then begin to grow. 40% of your hair will see growth during the first 4 months. 80% of your hair will see growth during the following 7 months, and 100% of your hair will grow after a period of one year.

PREPARATION FOR HAIR TRANSPLANT
  • Do not cut your hair too short. We shall be doing all the necessary trimming prior to the operation.
  • If you use any medication or lotion to prevent hair loss, you must stop using them at least 2 weeks before the scheduled operation.
  • However, you may continue to use your usual shampoo.
  • Stop using Vitamin E and Aspirin at least 3 days before your operation. If you have any pain a week before your scheduled operation, we recommend you use Paracetamol (Minoset, Vermidon, etc …) or Metamizol (Novalgin) instead of Aspirin.
  • Smoking is forbidden for a total period of 36 hours starting from the morning of the operation.
  • Alcohol must not be consumed from the night before the operation as well as the following 5 days.
  • Avoid consuming any caffeine based drinks before the operation day. Green tea and caffeinated food must also be minimized before the operation
  • You may shower and have your daily breakfast during the morning of the operation. However, avoid a heavy breakfast.
  • If you are using any prescribed medications, it is recommended you bring them with you to the operation.
  • You should wear a buttoned down shirt and a pair of comfortable shoes on the day of the operation.
  • You will be able to drive after the operation. However, it is recommended a relative or friend assists you and takes you home or to the place you are staying.  Alternatively, you may use a taxi or you may pre-arrange transfers through our staff for an extra fee.
  • It is highly recommended for you to call us 3 days before the operation to re-confirm your surgery. Also, make sure you have provided all your contact details.
  • The matters you must pay most attention to during the post-operative period will be explained to you after the operation; you will also be given a “post-operative care guide”.
